Here is Brax and his friend, River. Mike and Bonnie brought River over for a visit. When I put River next to Brax, he reached out and held his hand. Too precious!

Prepare Yourself
If you are attending Brax's first birthday party, prepare yourself! You must come dressed as a farm animal since we are doing a farm theme. I borrowed a cow costume for Brax from a co-worker. Here he is trying on the hat.
Meeting Uncle Jay
Jay is in town for work. He came over last night to meet Brax before we went to dinner. Brax was really interested in looking at his face and tried to grab his glasses. Wade and I actually got to go to dinner on our own for the first time in months. It was much easier to eat and enjoy dinner without having to entertain an 8 month old. It was nice to catch up with Jay! We look forward to him coming here often for work.
Gobble! Gobble!
Thanksgiving is coming! Brax was pretty sleepy when we tried to get a picture so no smiling turkey, yet.

Favorite
Our friends, Mike and Bonnie, came over tonight with their newborn son, River. Brax was so sweet and reached out and held his hand when they were by each other. Mike and Bonnie were talking about how when River wakes up early in the morning, they put him in bed with them. Bonnie said Mike's mom tells her she shouldn't do this. My mom always said the same thing so I never mentioned that we did this much. However, we would put Brax in bed with us early in the morning when Brax was a few months old because Brax would sleep a few more hours. This is one of my favorite pictures from that time. Wade has his hand over Brax's head because his head would get cold. I wanted to post this picture so I would always have it.

Look What Brax Discovered!
While I was cleaning Wade's bathroom, I had Brax on our bedroom floor with a few toys. He made his way over to the door and discovered something new. It did keep him entertained for quite a bit!
Sitting Up
Brax is getting good at sitting up on his own. He can go for almost as long as we set him in that position. When he does topple over at times, he is good at breaking his own fall. He thinks it is pretty funny to fall over on purpose when I have him on the bed. Here are a few pictures of him sitting up outside before the Husker game and looking at himself in the mirror. Such a big boy!
