UnBEARably Cute

We just love you so so much, Boo Bear!

Retirement

Thank goodness my parents are retired so they could come out and watch Brax while our nanny went on a mountain vacation.  I knew there was some benefit for having kids later in life.  They have enjoyed spending time with us even though my mom has commented that a day with an 8 month old goes by pretty slowly.  They played a lot with Brax and took him on a walk to the Dollar Tree.  Today, they took him to Gymboree class.  Mom and I had some time to shop for Brax.  Tonight, we are going out to eat and plan on going golfing tomorrow before we watch the Husker game.  Mom has provided a lot of good cooking, and Dad raked up our leaves.  Thank you, Mom and Dad!

My Buddy River

Here is Brax and his friend, River.  Mike and Bonnie brought River over for a visit.  When I put River next to Brax, he reached out and held his hand.  Too precious!

Prepare Yourself

If you are attending Brax's first birthday party, prepare yourself!  You must come dressed as a farm animal since we are doing a farm theme.  I borrowed a cow costume for Brax from a co-worker.  Here he is trying on the hat.

Meeting Uncle Jay

Jay is in town for work.  He came over last night to meet Brax before we went to dinner.  Brax was really interested in looking at his face and tried to grab his glasses.  Wade and I actually got to go to dinner on our own for the first time in months.  It was much easier to eat and enjoy dinner without having to entertain an 8 month old.  It was nice to catch up with Jay!  We look forward to him coming here often for work.

Gobble! Gobble!

Thanksgiving is coming!  Brax was pretty sleepy when we tried to get a picture so no smiling turkey, yet.

Favorite

Our friends, Mike and Bonnie, came over tonight with their newborn son, River.  Brax was so sweet and reached out and held his hand when they were by each other.  Mike and Bonnie were talking about how when River wakes up early in the morning, they put him in bed with them.  Bonnie said Mike's mom tells her she shouldn't do this.  My mom always said the same thing so I never mentioned that we did this much.  However, we would put Brax in bed with us early in the morning when Brax was a few months old because Brax would sleep a few more hours.  This is one of my favorite pictures from that time.  Wade has his hand over Brax's head because his head would get cold.  I wanted to post this picture so I would always have it.
