First Haircut

While we were in Henderson, we took Brax for his first official hair cut.  I had cut his mohawk stripe off a few months ago in the bath tub which I guess was essentially his first hair cut.  Anyway, he didn't quite know what to think at first and sat very still.  Then, he noticed the animals on the smock and became a little more relaxed.  I am just glad that his mullet is gone!  I think people were starting to question our parenting abilities.  ;)

Izzie

Wade's mom's dog, Izzie, made quite the impression on Brax.  He has said "Izzie" every day since we left her house.  He even calls other dogs "Izzie" now.  Izzie even taught Brax he can hold a ball in his mouth while he holds two other balls in his hands.  She was quite patient with him.

First Runza

I am back! And will slowly, but surely catch up on my blog.  We were in Nebraska for over a week, then we had company, and then I had a week of training.  It's been crazy, but I don't have to work this week (just have to get ready for a basketball party one of Wade's friends decided to have at our house on Wednesday) so I should have some time to write about what's been happening in July.

When we were staying with Wade's mom in Henderson, we took Brax for his first Runza.  He took a bite and spit it back out.  He was not so sure about that cabbage!

Photo Shoot

For one of Wade's classes this summer, he had to do a portrait type session.  Here are some of the final shots.  It was fun.  Brax is much cuter than me!

Future Quarterback?

Bunny!

There are so many bunnies out and about this year.  I see at least 20 every time I run in the evenings on the path by our house.  When Brax sees a bunny in our front yard, he loves to chase it.  After we go down about five houses, I have to pick him up to come back, or he will just keep on going.  Here is a video of the most recent chase:

Update

Well, after the flu finally left our home, we have been out and about having some fun.  I haven't been very good about taking pictures lately, but here are some I had on my phone.  Brax is adjusting to school.  The teacher says he is fine and happy, but he still cries when Wade drops him off.  Poor guy and poor Wade!  We did meet my friend Stephanie at the zoo yesterday with her kids, and we will be heading to the pool tomorrow morning to meet some friends.  Summer is going by too fast!
the ball obsession is still going strong

loves to come up to us and lay down and have us throw a ball above him over and over
pancakes every morning- just said pancake today for the first time- sounded like cacake
by the fence at the park wondering where the dogs are
playing in the rain- didn't bother him a bit- really likes to stand by the hoop and be lifted up to make a basket
 rain
eating a tortilla at snack time at school
 pool day last week

wouldn't take a nap and crashed on our walk
