More Animals

Brax got some grow animals and decided to leave them in his little pool outside overnight.  The first thing he said when he got up was, "Did my grow animals grow?"  We had to go outside and check right away.  When Hadley took a nap, we lined them up on the basketball court.

Eleven Months

May 15, 2015

How is it possible that you will be a year old next month?!

You love to crawl around.  You have gotten pretty fast.  You and Braxton love to crawl and chase each other.  It makes you laugh!

You love to stand up.  You can get up and down without any problem.  You are very well balanced.  You haven't started walking along things, but you are very close.

You can crawl up stairs.  You love to crawl up the stairs.  We have to put the red horse by the stairs to keep you away from them since it scares you.

You like to babble.  Your favorite word to say is Dada.  You said doggie one time.  

You are a good sleeper.  You usually go to sleep at 7:15 and sleep for 12 hours.  You put yourself to sleep.

You like to snuggle.  You will lean your head in and just snuggle up to my chest or cheek.  It is so so sweet!

You drink water out of a sippy cup.  You often prefer water and food over milk.

We just finished breastfeeding.  You are drinking whole milk.  You don't seem to mind it, but often will not take the bottle much from anyone, but me.

You like to feed yourself.  You love to eat pretty much anything!  

You like to play with Braxton more than anything.  You just will follow him around and get your hands on whatever is near him.

Your front two teeth are about to break through. 

You like to clap your hands especially when we say, "Yay."

You get so excited when we come home.  You wave your hands in the air and crawl to us right away.

We love to make you laugh.  You laugh the most when you play with Braxton.  It is the best sound in the world!

Help!

Hadley is not a fan of the red horse.  Brax was scared of it, too.  We figured we can put it on the first step in the basement, and she will not go near the stairs.

Jackie and Rainer

Last week, Jackie came to watch the kids.  She has a son, Rainer, who was born three weeks after Brax.  Here is a picture from when they were little and now.

Building

World Market had a patio set that I just loved for the new house.  Well, it went on sale so I bought it.  Brax had a good time helping Daddy put it together.  Wade says I am not to buy anything else for the new house since we will have to move it!

Water Table

Hadley loves playing in the water table.  It is the first thing she will crawl to when we are outside.

Grocery Store

I took the kids to the grocery store with me, and this is what Brax picked out.  We will have desserts for a long time to come.

Tonight

Hadley generally likes to eat around 5:00 which is earlier than all of us.  When Brax has his dinner, he will drop pieces of it down on the floor for Hadley to eat.  She is like his dog!  She just loves it.  After dinner, Brax and I headed out for a date.  We bought a few new ocean animal shirts, played at the dinosaur park at the mall, and bought a few new sea animals.  Brax was so kind and polite the entire evening.  We had a great time together.  I love him so much!

Mother's Day

We had such a nice Mother's Day.  We got up and headed to brunch.  Then, we went to Home Depot and bought flowers to plant.  Finally, it wasn't snowing on Mother's Day!  We spent time outside and getting the house ready to sell.  Also, the nanny had Brax fill in the blanks to some sentences.  He wrote:

My mommy is Angie Govig.

She likes to play.

She cooks the best peanut butter sandwiches.  (even though the nanny wrote pb and j, Brax made sure to tell me it was suppose to be peanut butter sandwiches which is all he eats now)

Her favorite thing to do to relax is Daddy.

Together we like to play with sea animals.

Mommy is good at drawing whales.

I love Mommy because she's special, so so special.

I am so honored and love being a mother to Brax and Hadley!

New House

We are so excited to be building a new house!  Hopefully, it will be done in October.  Here are some of the finishes that we picked out.  I wish I could find a whale bed for Brax somewhere.  The one below is pretty cool!

Face

Brax's teacher asked him to draw a face, and this is what he drew.  Love him!  I had a great parent teacher conference with his teacher.  He is doing very well academically.  She even thinks he will be reading by the time he is four.  And of course, he knows a ton about science and animals.  No surprise there!  However, we do need to work on the pencil grip and drawing daily.  Wade started tonight, and we need to get him into gymnastics to help with his balance.  Also, he is going to be in a special play group at school since he prefers to play alone or with adults.  He does only like to play with the older kids in the neighborhood.  I am just so glad he is kind and shows empathy to others at school and is happy!
